Vaccinations: Are They Slow Killers for Your Pet?

1 comment Jan 21, 2016by Denise Lessard

Here we go again. It’s a fight every single time! Whining, crying and trembling…sometimes even biting and scratching! Yes, it’s vaccination time, and we are both not happy about it!

Not only is the trip to the vet unpleasant, but the actual injections involve holding her still, not an easy task when she is scared, poor thing. Also, you guessed it, the job doesn’t finish there. After the vaccinations are over, my poor baby suffers. She doesn’ t react well to them, but it’s the law here to vaccinate pets!! Personally, I hate putting my poor baby through this. Are you stuck in this situation as well?

Here is some information I never knew before and that has opened my eyes to vaccination problems. I hope you find it useful too!

Vaccination Side Effects

For young animals, most vaccinations will have no noticeable side effects, unless his/her immune system is already weak. For sick animals, or older pets, vaccinations have higher risk of side effects. In any case, if your pet has had previous reactions before, it’s best to tell the vet before the vaccinations. Within a few hours or up to 3 days after the vaccination, you may find the following symptoms:

  • Low fever
  • Local swelling where the vaccination was given
  • Less energy
  • Decreased appetite
  • Mild cold symptoms

These symptoms are what they call ‘normal’. However, in some rare cases your pet may experience allergic reactions that can be pretty severe, even life-threatening. So watch out for:

  • Vomiting
  • Severe swelling other than where the injection was
  • Trouble breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Collapse

These symptoms should be taken seriously and it’s best to go see your vet as soon as possible!!

Is it Bad to Give Pets Vaccines?

This is often a back and forth debate with vets and holistic doctors. But here is the bottom line… Even vets will agree that vaccines have their dark sides. Vaccines leave their marks in our pets whether we like it or not. A residue of toxins is left behind and only accumulates over time with further vaccinations, medications and bad eating habits. So what does this mean for your beloved pet?

Most likely, time may be a lethal enemy. Eventual sicknesses caused by over vaccinations or reactions to vaccines include:

  • Seizures
  • Lupus
  • Pemphigus
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Allergies (Yes, that’s right allergies!!)

True, not all animals will suffer these consequences to vaccines. Yet, it is alarming the amount of pet parents who are unaware of the dangers of vaccines. One day their pet shows signs of severe food, skin or ear allergies and they will have no idea that this could easily be due to past vaccines and could easily have been prevented!

Fight the Vaccine Toxins!!

Although we are not all in the position to avoid animal vaccinations, there is help! Let me explain myself. Have you ever been very, very sick yourself and had to take strong medication for several days, weeks or even months? I think we have all been there at least once in our lives. The bright side is, the meds helped us fight against our health problem. The bad side is, it also killed a lot of good things in our body. This means we have to rebuild our immune system, intestinal flora and good bacteria in our body. Also, once we are strong enough, we are usually recommended to take a general detox to rid our system of accumulated toxins left behind from the meds… Do you see where I’m going with this?

Yes, just like us, animals also need help to rebalance their systems after harsh vaccines and medications. How? Basically in the same way we do, boosting the immune system as well as flushing the toxins out of the body. These 2 steps after vaccinations will avoid nasty problems from developing in the future. Yet, there is a little known secret I want to share with you. There is also a way to prepare your pet for vaccinations BEFORE the actual injections!! Here it is… Vaccine (Problems due to). This little gem of a product has been a lifesaver in so many ways. It is used before having any bad side effects from an upcoming vaccine or they issues from the past vaccine. So, it can be used before any future vaccines as well as a detox for past vaccines!! Here’s how you use it:

  • 3 days before vaccination: 1 spray every day, in water or in the mouth.
  • After vaccination: 1 spray per day for 10-30 days as needed

I only wish I had known about all this before I started having pets and getting them vaccinated!! I feel like I could have saved my pets so much suffering and even perhaps prolong their lives. So, please don’t keep this secret to yourself! Share this with your fellow pet parents and avoid nasty vaccine side effects.

Being a pet parent is a lot of hard work and also involves some unfortunate stressful times. Yet, the rewards are sooooo wonderful and worth all the love and devotion we give them. I love seeing my cat look at me with her adoring eyes and loving purrs of contentment. She is my baby and of course I will do all I can to keep her healthy and happy. Isn’t that what we all want for our beloved pets?

I was told by my cat’s oncologist that his cancer (Soft Tissue Sarcoma) was caused by his vaccinations. There was a 1 in 10,000 chance and Andy was the unlucky 1. Had I known, I may have taken alternative options. He’s a month shy of his 15th birthday. He had major surgery on his leg which did not get all of the cancer so they suggested 18 rounds of radiation which I went ahead with and then 5 rounds of chemo afterwards. He had one round of chemo and it damaged his already compromised kidney function. I’ve been battling a kidney infection and continual decrease in kidney function. I just started him on a different homeopathic to treat his kidney failure. He won’t eat the special diet and he has lost about 6 pounds since just before surgery. The oncologist suggested to advise all vets to give vaccines in the leg instead of the hip or back. This way if it comes up they can opt for amputation and have no risk of reoccurance.
I’m trying my best to keep his quality of life high. After losing my 1st cousin, sister and then mom in one year to then be told my cat has cancer, it was heartbreaking. That has motivated me even more to give him every chance to beat it.
I think there needs to be more education of the general public and vets about this risk of vaccines. I’ve fed my cat an organic Blue Buffalo diet and then the regular Blue Buffalo food. Also I only feed organic treats. He throws up with non organic treats. So that’s a good signal NOT to feed your pets a crap diet.
